Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience, reliability, performance, and growth in the role 
Expected Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week to start, with the opportunity for more hours as the route grows

Position Summary 

The Part-Time Pool Service Technician will support our weekly pool service routes. 

This role may include servicing assigned pools, helping with overflow route coverage, assisting with pool care tasks, documenting service visits, checking water chemistry, identifying issues, and supporting a professional customer experience. 

This is a great fit for someone who wants to learn the pool industry and grow into more responsibility. As the company grows, this role may expand into more hours, route ownership, advanced service work, repair support, or a full-time position. 

Pool experience is helpful, but it is not required for the right person. Reliability, coachability, attention to detail, customer orientation, and willingness to learn matter most. 

What You’ll Do 

Weekly Pool Care 

• Support recurring weekly pool service routes 
• Service assigned residential pools 
• Skim pool surface, brush walls, steps, benches, and tile line 
• Vacuum pools as needed 
• Empty skimmer baskets, pump baskets, clea 
• ner bags, and debris containers 
• Remove leaves, debris, and visible buildup from the pool and immediate service area 
• Check water level and report low water or possible leak concerns 
• Leave each pool clean, clear, and professionally serviced 
• Follow our service standards at every stop 

Water Testing and Chemistry 

• Test and record pool water chemistry readings during service visits 
• Balance pool water according to company standards 
• Safely apply pool chemicals 
• Identify cloudy water, algae, staining, scale, or recurring chemistry problems 
• Report water quality concerns that require follow-up 
• Follow company procedures for chemical handling and safety 

Equipment Monitoring 

• Visually inspect pool equipment during service visits 
• Check pumps, filters, heaters, valves, automation, cleaners, baskets, and visible plumbing 
• Report leaks, unusual noises, low flow, high pressure, air in the system, equipment damage, or other abnormal conditions 
• Take photos and notes of equipment issues when needed 
• Identify potential repair opportunities and flag them for management review 
• Help customers avoid bigger problems by catching issues early 
• Escalate repair, pricing, scheduling, or customer policy questions to management 

Documentation and Technology 

• Use company technology platforms and mobile field service tools daily 
• Complete service reports after every stop 
• Record chemical readings accurately 
• Upload required photos when needed 
• Add clear service notes and internal notes 
• Document access issues, low water, green water, equipment problems, customer concerns, or repair opportunities 
• Keep route information accurate and up to date 
• Use technology consistently to support route efficiency, communication, quality control, and customer service 

Customer Experience 

• Represent us professionally at every property 
• Respect customer homes, yards, gates, pets, and access instructions 
• Be friendly, professional, and customer-oriented when interacting with homeowners 
• Follow company guidelines for customer communication 
• Escalate customer questions, complaints, scheduling requests, billing questions, or unusual situations to management 
• Help create confidence for customers through consistent service, clear documentation, and proactive issue reporting 

Performance Metrics 

We use clear performance metrics to manage service quality, support technician development, and reward strong performance. 

Metrics are not used to micromanage. They are used to create consistency, improve quality, protect the customer experience, and make expectations clear.

• Valid driver’s license 
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications 

• Pool service experience 
• Basic understanding of pool water chemistry 
• Experience using field service software or mobile service apps 
• Experience in landscaping, pest control, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, delivery, military, hospitality, or other field service work 
• CPO certification or interest in becoming certified 
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning pool equipment basics 
• Prior customer service experience
