Concrete Finisher

Job Summary We are hiring a skilled and detail‑oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on a variety of job sites including foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and more. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with concrete work, a solid understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to producing high‑quality finishes. Key Responsibilities Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers) Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.) Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly Cut control joints and edges for proper expansion and appearance Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods Ensure quality control, proper thickness, slope, and surface integrity Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues Direct the casting of the concrete with the truck driver Safely operate power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted Mold and construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools Polish surface using a power surfacing machine Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
