Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Emergency Department with an annual volume of approximately 11,500 visits
• Perform ECI triage assessments and deliver appropriate interventions in a Trauma Level IV facility
• Perform splinting and other unit-specific clinical skills as required
• Collaborate with a small RN team covering the ED, with additional overlap coverage during peak hours
• Float to ICU as needed (preferred but not required)
• Be available for on-call assignments during low census periods, with a minimum 2-hour call-back requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• ECI Triage training and splinting competency

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU float experience
• Experience in a low-volume or critical access Emergency Department setting
