Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

Job Description Job Description We are looking someone with Medical Billing Claim Denial/Medical Collections experience to join our team in the healthcare industry, based in Kettering, Ohio. You will be involved in resolving collections with insurance companies. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Manage collections on medical insurance denials Working Accounts Receivable Aging Reports Following Medicaid Guidelines Research payments to post to the correct account Calling insurance companies Solving Denials Communicate effectively with insurance companies and patients Apply critical thinking skills to resolve complex billing issues Understanding EMR (Electronic Medical Records) for reviewing patient records Handle insurance collections, liaising with insurance companies as required Perform authorizations and benefit functions as part of the billing process Use your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies • Previous experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Medical Billing • Experience with Insurance Collections a ++ • Demonstrated skills in Critical Thinking • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (be able to do pivots and VLOOKUP's) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Home Hospice billing experience a ++ but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
