Material Handler I - Shipping & Receiving

Job DescriptionExecutes the receiving, storing, using, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly of product.ResponsibilitiesPerform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork liftsPicks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantityPhysically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departmentsCreate and/or maintain transactional inventory recordsMaintain accurate files of packing and shipping activityCommunicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepanciesFill kits and deliver to production as requiredMaintain stocking/inventory objectivesQuantifies and verifies cycle countComply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policiesPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedPerform warehouse distribution duties in compliance with current GDP as per annual GDP Training and local proceduresAware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredQualificationsHigh school DiplomaDemonstrate ability to read, write and speak in EnglishProficient in basic mathematicsBasic computer skillsAbility to consistently lift up to 35lbsAbility to utilize automated lifting equipmentDesired Qualification2+ years experience in storing and material handlingKnowledge of computerized material flow methodsBasic knowledge of quality and inventory controlPrior experience using a forklift and weight scales
