The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and driven Manager, Workforce & Education to lead programs and initiatives that strengthen the civil engineering workforce and advance professional growth across the career lifecycle.What You'll DoEstablish and implement annual strategies and goals to support broader pathways, recruitment and retention, and essential skills development in civil engineering, aligned with ASCE strategic prioritiesDevelop and manage programs to define and promote evolving roles, competencies, and career pathways including ASCE's Civil Engineering Body of Knowledge, Guidelines for Engineering Grades, and career paths in a central online resourceLead and support the Committee on Career Advancement (CCA), Committee on Licensure Innovation (CLI), and workforce and education related task groupsCoordinate educational content, white papers, articles, presentations, and workforce resourcesManage budgets, timelines, events, reporting, and stakeholder communicationsCollaborate with committees, volunteers, staff, and external partners to address workforce challengesWhat You BringBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; engineering or management background a plus3-5 years of engineering, association, workforce development, education, or related experience desiredStrong project management and volunteer leadership experienceExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systemsWhy ASCE?Join a mission-driven organization dedicated to advancing the civil engineering professionInfluence workforce development, career advancement, leadership growth, and professional practice initiativesWork collaboratively with industry leaders, educators, and volunteers across the professionLocation: Hybrid (Reston, VA) This position has hybrid work from home flexibility in the Northern VA/DC Metro area.The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a global nonprofit professional membership association dedicated to the advancement of the civil engineering profession in order to serve the public good.
