DIRECTOR - PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

Director of Performance Improvement (Hospital Setting) Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital is a growing, 144‑bed behavioral health facility that provides a full continuum of inpatient services to patients across the entire population, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults and older adults, and performs behavioral health assessments 24‑hour a day. Programs for co‑occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are also offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also offers a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy. Responsibilities The Director of Performance Improvement (DPI) has broad responsibility to ensure the hospital’s compliance at all times with all Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory agencies standards and requirements. The DPI is responsible for staff training and education on the hospital’s performance initiatives and measures, including outcomes measurement and reporting. The DPI works with leadership and all staff to ensure survey readiness at all times. Position Summary The KPI and outcomes measurement activities fall under the DPI’s remit, ensuring that the organization continuously improves quality of care and operational efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance and readiness for state and national surveys. Master's Degree preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience: Four (4) years of experience in quality and risk management/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting. Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of Joint Commission, State of Michigan standards, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
