Patient Access Specialist

Genmab seeks a Patient Access Specialist to serve as the primary contact for prescribers, patients, and caregivers regarding medication access and reimbursement. The role involves navigating insurance coverage, managing prior authorizations, and coordinating patient services within a newly established call center operation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as dedicated point of contact for insurance coverage navigation and medication access post-prescription
• Review benefit verifications, research prior authorizations, and support appeals processes
• Assess patient needs, document requests, and provide timely case management
• Evaluate and refer patients to appropriate financial assistance programs
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and therapy continuation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
• Background in nursing, social work, counseling, pharmacy, or office practice management
• 1+ years experience in patient services or healthcare industry
• Active knowledge of oncology product reimbursement and insurance landscape
• Critical thinking and emotional intelligence with empathetic listening skills
• Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
