Job Title RN Resident – Labor and Delivery Location RWJUH Somerset, 110 Rehill Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876 Department Labor & Delivery Category Nurses Status Part-Time, Hourly Shift Day Pay Range US$46.90 per hour Job Overview The RWJBarnabas Health New Graduate RN Residency program is a one-year program that provides new graduate nurses with a safe, caring, supportive and robust learning environment. It allows nurses to gain clinical competency and transition from student to professional practice. The program includes: Preceptor and relationship-guided transition program Continuing education and ongoing professional development Specialty-specific foundational courses reflecting scope and standards of practice Professional accountability and ethical practice inherent in the RN role Recognition of the impact of skilled nursing practice on patient safety, quality and satisfaction Self-care focus to maintain a safe and fulfilling nursing practice for both the nurse and patient Mentorship to support the new graduate nurse through their first year of practice and beyond Placement into the area of specialty Variable day or night shift Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program NJ RN licensure prior to date of hire Less than 6 months of RN experience Commitment to orientation requirements BLS certification Preferred Qualifications BSN degree Other Job Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
