Industrial Maintenance Technician Location: Buffalo, NY Starting Pay: $30.65/hour + shift & weekend differentials Shift Differentials: 2nd Shift: Additional $1.25/hour, 3rd Shift: Additional $2.00/hour, Weekend Work: Additional $1.00/hour About the Opportunity Our client is a global food manufacturing company in the Buffalo area seeking experienced and mechanically inclined Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with production and packaging equipment and wants to continue developing their mechanical, electrical, and maintenance skills. The company offers opportunities to learn from experienced mechanics and advance within the maintenance department. Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and packaging equipment Perform mechanical work involving bearings, assembly, disassembly, power transmission, rigging, and lubrication Complete bench work using common hand tools Assist experienced mechanics with electrical systems and components Perform basic pipefitting involving water, steam, and air lines using steel, plastic, and copper piping Perform routine preventative maintenance on designated equipment Assist with equipment overhauls and major maintenance projects Identify potential equipment issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing machine failures Learn and operate a variety of shop equipment and machineryAssist with job layouts and determining materials needed for maintenance projects Maintain required hand tools and equipment Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment Compensation Starting Pay: $30.65/hour Plus: +$1.25/hour for 2nd Shift, +$2.00/hour for 3rd Shift, +$1.00/hour for weekend work Schedule 1st Shift: 6: 00 AM-2: 30 PM 2nd Shift: 2: 00 PM–10: 30 PM 3rd Shift: 10: 00 PM-6: 00 AM Working weekends and holidays are required based on your schedule/production needs If you're an experienced maintenance professional looking for strong starting pay, shift premiums, and an opportunity to grow with a global manufacturing company. #J-18808-Ljbffr Selective Staffing Solutions
