Day Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America). Responsibilities Under the supervision of a licensed physician, the Respiratory Therapist participates actively in the monitoring and treatment of patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disease. Respiratory Therapists assume primary responsibility for respiratory care therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures. Diagnostic concerns include: arterial blood gas analysis sampling and analysis physical assessment pulmonary function testing Therapeutic concerns include: set up and monitoring of therapeutic gases (i.e., oxygen) administering medications needed for respiratory care (e.g., administration of medication via the inhalation route) perform bronchial hygiene therapy provide cardiopulmonary rehabilitation initiate and support breathing apparatus (i.e., mechanical ventilator management) insert and maintain an artificial airway administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation Qualifications Graduate of AMA Accredited School for Respiratory Care. Bachelor of Science preferred. Current registration in New York State as Respiratory Therapist, diploma and licensure required. BLS and ACLS required. NRP preferred. Days with EO weekend and holidays; shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Benefits Salary Range: $52.658/hr - $58.619/hr (commensurate with experience).
