Primary Care Physician - Cognitive Health & Program Development Leadership

We are seeking a primary care physician to help advance a growing practice dedicated to cognitive health, dementia prevention and treatment, brain health, and whole-person primary care. This unique opportunity is ideal for a physician who enjoys building relationships, educating the community, collaborating with colleagues, and helping shape innovative models of care.

Our client provides exceptional primary care with a focus on treating the whole person, including brain health. The selected physician will maintain an active clinical practice while serving as a visible advocate for the organization’s mission, helping expand awareness of cognitive health services and fostering collaboration among providers to improve patient outcomes. The candidate may be based in either Jacksonville or Sarasota, Florida.

The clinical practice is traditional outpatient primary care, complemented by opportunities to incorporate cognitive health assessments, Alzheimer’s risk reduction strategies, lifestyle interventions, and functional medicine approaches into individualized care plans.

Position Highlights

• Practice outpatient primary care with dedicated time for program development, physician collaboration, and community engagement
• Serve as an ambassador for the practice by educating patients, community organizations, and referral sources about brain health and dementia prevention
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical teams to identify opportunities for enhanced patient care and service line growth
• Integrate traditional primary care, functional medicine, and cognitive health into a comprehensive care model
• Work with patients seeking to optimize brain health and reduce dementia risk
• Help advance innovative care pathways informed by emerging Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive health research
• Contribute to organizational strategy and the continued growth of cognitive health services
• Collaborate with leadership to expand the practice’s presence and impact within the community

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Interest in functional medicine, preventive care, cognitive health, and Alzheimer’s prevention
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of, or be willing to relocate to, Sarasota or Jacksonville, Florida
