Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns. The role involves rotating through labor, triage, and mother-baby postpartum units to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients in labor, triage, and postpartum settings to identify and address care needs.
• Administer medications, including epidurals and other analgesics, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with certification and hospital policies, ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Certification in NRP, AWHONN, FHM, or OB surgical recovery (preferred).
• Ability to work night shift (3x12 hours) and handle alternating roles effectively.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and respond rapidly to patient needs.
• Must be comfortable caring for 3-4 postpartum couples and 1-2 labor patients.
