PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant who embraces our core values of delivering superior quality care and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. The successful candidate will work closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans and help patients achieve their long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and response to treatment, including education for patients and families.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and ensure equipment safety.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE certification.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license.
