• Floating: May float to a similar unit based on census and staffing needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing or acute care nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
• Experience managing patient ratios in the 1:5-7 range preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients
• Willingness to float to a similar clinical unit when needed
• First-time travelers may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiovascular patients
• Monitor patients with chest pain, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients receiving cardiac drips, blood products, and other monitored therapies
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Perform thorough assessments, document accurately in Cerner PowerChart, and communicate updates clearly
• Follow unit protocols for isolation precautions, IV therapy, oxygen support, and rapid response readiness
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and strong clinical judgment throughout the travel assignment
