OpenShift Senior Consultant - TS/SCI + Poly Required

About the Job The Red Hat Services team is looking for a Senior Consultant to deliver solutions that solve our client's business challenges through hands‑on technical implementation and enablement of recommended practices. In this position, you will be a vital promoter of adopting Red Hat's solutions for our customers using your technical expertise and interpersonal skills. You’ll need to have a balance of solid technical experience, awareness of open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level. This role requires on‑site work with clients and travel to customer locations about 30-40 weeks per year across North America. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business and hold a Top Secret SCI security clearance with polygraph. Responsibilities Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions and adaptable to technological improvements using Red Hat technologies. Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies. Travel weekly, Monday-Thursday, to client locations. Qualifications Active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph. Experience delivering an implementation based on an architectural design. Demonstrated ability to lead a technical project, collaborate on project timelines, and maintain project and technical documentation. Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work. Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge and desire to mentor. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline. Technical certifications such as Security+ and Network+; experience with modern cloud platform consulting engagements. Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative. Experience with source code management tools such as GitLab. Experience with or working knowledge of Ansible. Experience with enterprise cloud solutions such as Platform-as-a-Service. Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes. Basic knowledge of networking principles such as TCP, DNS, DHCP, and IP. Broad technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure. Demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives, including experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Training & Growth Path During the first year, you will progressively develop expertise and leadership: Within two months, acquire knowledge of building production-ready solutions integrated with existing enterprise systems, learn consulting skills through Red Hat‑designed enablements, and gain exposure through networking and community events. Within six months, deliver customer projects as a technical lead, develop project plans from use cases, and expand your internal and external network. Within twelve months, lead the implementation of complex, large-scale solutions, and actively share best practices with internal and external communities of practice. Salary Range $130,420.00 – $215,300.00. Actual offer will be based on qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on factors including job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of the compensation package. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the salary range may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant experience.
