Financial Aid Advisor (Online Division)

This is a customer service position assisting a diverse student population. In this role you will guide students through the financial aid process and counsel prospective and current students through funding options. Financial Advisors receive onboarding support through our On the Job Training Program and have opportunity for growth by means of our Career Pathways. Preferred Locations Akron, OH Clarksville, TN New Orleans (Metairie), LA Atlanta, GA Kenosha, WI Orlando (Winter Park), FL Birmingham, AL Madison, WI Tampa, FL Brookfield, WI Nashville, TN Schedule: A 40 hour work-week schedule will be determined based on preference and business needs falling during typical business hours for Herzing's Online Division, with one shift with evening hours and minimal Saturday hours required. Hiring Level: The level a final candidate will be hired at will be dependent on qualifications and prior applicable experience. Requirements Great customer service skills and experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience/knowledge of Student Information Systems (CampusNexus & Regent preferred). Qualifications by Level Associate Financial Aid Advisor Bachelor's degree preferred. Financial Aid Advisor Title IV administration/VA certifying official preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Compensation: is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.54 to $27.78 (Associate level) or $21.74 to $29.42 (Advisor level). Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. Must be able to occasionally move around the work location. Constantly operates office and/or teach equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals. Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face-to-face or over the telephone. Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
