Job Description

Sandblast / Prep / Paint Technician

We are hiring immediately for an experienced Sandblast/Prep/Paint Technician to join our production team. This is a fast-moving opportunity for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running. Interviews are conducted in person and the right candidate can start as soon as compliance is cleared.

Responsibilities:

Prepare equipment surfaces for painting through sandblasting, hand sanding, taping, and pneumatic sanding or grinding
Mix and prepare paint equipment and two-part epoxy paint per specifications
Apply primer and paint to equipment per engineering specs
Move materials and equipment to staging areas using an overhead crane
Cross-train in other production areas as needed to support manufacturing schedules
Assist with general plant housekeeping including sweeping, trash removal, and proper chemical storage
Follow all company safety and environmental policies and report any injuries or safety concerns immediately

Requirements:

Previous sandblasting experience required and must be reflected on resume
Previous experience with two-part epoxy paint required and must be reflected on resume
Ability to operate an overhead crane
Willingness to complete on-the-job training during the first two to three weeks
Able to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours daily
Flexible availability including overtime and weekends as needed
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility
Punctual, reliable, and highly detail-oriented
