Dementia Care Activities Director

Activity Director This position requires good management skills, tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families. Responsibilities of the Activity Director Develop approaches/interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents Establish rapport with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents and their families Develop and run programming ideas for residents Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions Must be able to manage and work with a team Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience, and energy Qualifications of the Activity Director 2 years Long-Term Care experience CTRS or ADA certified Dementia Specialist or CDP preferred Familiar with long-term care regulation and survey process. Be able to facilitate group programs independently Positive attitude and energy Strong communication, interpersonal and written/reading skills Valid driver's license #J-18808-Ljbffr
