Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant Responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and providing strategic financial insights to support the business growth and financial health. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes. Support the annual audit process by working with corporate accounting to meet external auditors’ requests. Conduct analysis and contribute to the review of SBU Investment Committee applications. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Lead internal control audits. Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Review and approve accounting batches. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision‑making and strategic planning. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing explanations. Validate, update, and manage retro pricing with customers and suppliers. Lead reconciliation of monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory balances. Record necessary adjustments resulting from counts. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing technical complexity. CPA preferred. Travel 20‑30% of time.
