Busser/Runner at Hanoi House

Hanoi House is looking for a weekend support person. Our service support members perform a hybrid busser-runner job. Speed, professionalism, hospitality and communication are critical for this role. Responsibilities include: Carrying bus tubs to basement kitchen. Restocking plateware and utensils from basement kitchen. Clearing and resetting tables between courses. Clearing and resetting empty tables between seatings. Delivering food to tables and working with the expeditor to ensure quick and accurate service. Engaging the guest and being available to answer questions or get another staff member to help when applicable. Clearing empty service items from tables as needed. Keeping water glasses full and offering drinks refills. Organizing service stations, polishing clean plates & silverware, and restocking stations with supplies. Maintaining restaurant floors, walkways and restrooms for cleanliness and safety.

Requirements: 2 year experience in a reputable restaurant. References from 2 managers or equivalent supervisor. Knowledge of basic service & hospitality standards. Knowledge of sanitation procedures as required by DOH. Desire to learn and grow. Friday - Sunday availability. Tips are pooled amongst all members of service staff. Family meal is provided daily and certain menu items are offered at 50% off at the end of your shift. Hanoi House is accessible by the following trains: L, 6, R, W, F. Compensation: Hourly ($11.35) plus tips
