Our company is seeking a dedicated Journeyman Cabinet Maker to fabricate, assemble, and install high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. In this role, you will work independently to transform complex architectural blueprints into finished products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.

 

Job Overview

· Position Title: Journeyman Cabinet Maker

· Job Type: Full-time

· Department: Custom Woodworking & Fabrication

· Reports To: Shop Foreman

 

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret Drawings: Review complex architectural drawings, CAD designs, and material specifications to plan production.

· Material Selection: Choose appropriate hardware, lumbers, veneers, and synthetic boards based on structural needs and grain matching.

· Precision Machining: Safely set up and operate table saws, routers, shapers, planers, jointers, and CNC equipment.

· Custom Fabrication: Cut, shape, and form wood, laminate, and solid surface components with tight tolerances.

· Assembly & Joinery: Trim joints, fit parts, and assemble structures using premium fasteners, dowels, clamps, and adhesives.

· Finishing Work: Sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces for specialized veneers, laminates, stains, or polishes.

· Installation Support: Fabricate and install custom cabinetry and architectural millwork on-site as required.

· Quality Control: Inspect completed pieces against drawings to verify exact dimensions, flawless alignments, and smooth function.

 

Qualifications & Skills

· Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of verified experience fabricating custom cabinetry or high-grade furniture.

· Technical Math: Strong arithmetic skills for calculating precise angles, dimensions, and material optimization.

· Tool Proficiency: Mastery over all commercial shop machinery and standard woodworking hand tools.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended shifts and safely lift or maneuver panels weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Driver's License: Possess a valid driver’s license for traveling to various residential or commercial client project sites.
