Delivery Driver Location: 8662 Lindley Ave Full-time Job Category: Store Delivery Expert Job Duties Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Deliver product by car to customer’s door. Distribute flyers and door hangers. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication Skills Ability to interpret and provide accurate written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person. Essential Functions & Skills Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator) and provide correct monetary change. Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Coordinate motor skills between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Navigate through maps and local delivery areas, including adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings. Work Conditions Work environments include varying and sometimes adverse weather, temperatures ranging from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some in‑store areas, fumes from food, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher, and sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Tasks involve standing, walking, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, and stooping/bending. Typical lifting tasks include unloading bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds and stacking onto shelves up to 72” high. Carrying tasks involve large cans (~3.75 lb) and pizza sauce (~30 lb). Driving duties require multiple deliveries per shift within a designated area. Additional tasks include pushing trays on dollies and navigating stairs or ladders for maintenance or sign changes.
