Industrial Painter

1st Shift Industrial Painter $24-28/hr
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings using spray guns and painting equipment.
• Safely handle paints, coatings, and hazardous materials while following all hazmat and safety procedures.
• Wear and properly utilize respirators and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, grinders, drill presses, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specification manuals.
• Inspect, test, and verify completed products meet engineering and customer specifications.
• Repair, rework, or replace defective components and assemblies.
• Use precision measurement tools including calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure accuracy.
• Install piping, fixtures, wiring, and other components using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment.
• Smooth, grind, trim, and finish components to required specifications.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when required.
• Inspect outsourced products for quality and compliance.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and efficient operating condition.
• Follow all company safety standards and manufacturing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with spray guns, paint preparation, and industrial coating applications.
• Ability to wear a respirator and follow hazardous material handling procedures.
• Experience using:
  • Hand tools
  • Power tools
  • Grinders
  • Drill presses
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience performing quality inspections and product testing.
• Ability to perform repairs, rework, and component replacement.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as:
  • Calipers
  • Gauges
  • Micrometers
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing facility with production machinery and assembly equipment.
• Frequent use of spray guns, hand tools, power tools, grinders, and drill presses.
• Required use of respirators and other PPE.
• Exposure to paints, coatings, and industrial materials while following established safety procedures.
• Fast-paced, hands-on environment requiring standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwood Young America, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
