Substance Abuse Counselor

Adult Certified Substance Abuse Counselor – Per Diem Position La Amistad Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) has been an industry leader in providing quality care for almost 50 years and is seeking a certified substance abuse counselor for our Adult Program. This role is responsible for providing group counseling and support services to clients recovering from addiction to substance, drugs or alcohol. The position is responsible for the overall design and implementation of the facility's substance abuse group services in Residential, Partial, and our daytime Intensive Outpatient programs, following La Amistad program philosophy. The counselor will also coordinate with community partners, connecting our clients with off‑site resources, and will evaluate and treat patients' mental health through group therapy, collaborating with treatment team members, and providing support to our clients.
