This full-time position allows for a flexible work environment, combining telehealth and face-to-face sessions to best serve our patients. Our LPCs play a crucial role in facilitating mental wellness through trauma-informed care and therapy, ensuring that every individual receives the highest standard of support and guidance.

Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide services from the comfort of your own home while having the option to engage in in-person sessions at our community health clinic. We operate every day of the week from 7 AM to 10 PM, which provides you with the opportunity to design a work schedule that accommodates your lifestyle while ensuring our clients have access to care when they need it.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Insight Therapy, your role will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Implementing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support trauma recovery.
  • \n
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions where patients can explore their experiences, develop adaptive coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • \n
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of our clients.
  • \n
  • Responding to crises with immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.
  • \n
  • Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and community resources available for additional support.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • \n
  • Engaging in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development aimed at further enhancing trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting an adult and adolescent population experiencing various trauma-related challenges. This role enables you to make a profound impact on the lives of clients as you assist them in navigating through their individual journeys toward recovery. Working within a community health clinic setting gives you access to a motivated patient base eager for support and guidance.

Qualifications\n

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon.
  • \n
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment methods.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to client management.
  • \n
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to form meaningful relationships with clients.
  • \n
  • A calm demeanor and composure when handling high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • Two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.

  • Experience working with trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and interventions.

  • A desire to work with couples and willingness to undergo provided training in this area.
