About D1 Training

D1 Training is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Our mission is simple: You pick the goal, we help you get there.

We combine expert coaching, proven training systems, and a high-energy environment to help every athlete improve performance, build confidence, and reach their goals.

Position Overview

As a D1 Intern, you’ll support group workouts, provide individualized guidance, and create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about strength & conditioning, athlete development, and performance coaching.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Operations

Greet members and create a welcoming, high-energy environment

Assist with check-ins, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility

Coaching & Training Support

Assist coaches during group classes and training sessions

Help set up and break down equipment

Provide encouragement and support to athletes during workouts

Learn D1 programming and coaching methodology

Community Engagement & Events

Support planning and execution of community events and outreach initiatives

Represent D1 Training at local events, partnerships, and promotions

Help build relationships within the local community

CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred)

Qualifications

Passion for fitness, sports performance, and helping others

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Current student or recent graduate in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
