divh2LPN Clinical Supervisor/h2pThe LPN Clinical Supervisor reports to the designated manager and is responsible for supervising, coordinating and directing the work flow and functions of designated service personnel to facilitate safe and efficient work flow and practices./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities/h3ulliAssists in the selection, training, orientation and competency validation of designated personnel./liliSupervises, plans, develops and organizes services and activities to support medical practices./liliWorks in close cooperation with and under the clinical guidance of the practice physician(s)./liliPerforms a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to support the medical practice./liliDemonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Licenses And/Or Certifications/h3ulliCurrent Virginia state license as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Practical Nurse holding a valid Compact State license./liliCPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire./li/ulh3Minimum Education And Experience Requirements/h3ulliTechnical and professional knowledge and skills for clinical operations of the service area usually acquired through 3 - 5 years progressive Clinical/Supervisory experience in a practice setting./liliProfessional knowledge of nursing theory and practice./liliPediatric experience preferred./liliMust provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing./li/ulh3Working Conditions/h3ulliClinical patient care environment with minimal exposure to hazards such as excess noise, dust, or extremes in temperature. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, body fluids and other conditions common to the healthcare environment.
