Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

- Conducting thorough assessments of clients and their families to identify therapeutic needs and develop personalized treatment plans. \n
- Facilitating therapy sessions for couples and conducting individual sessions for family members, addressing issues such as grief and loss, conflicts between family members, and alcohol abuse. \n
- Utilizing evidence-based methodologies to deliver effective therapy sessions while fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients. \n
- Monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting treatment approaches as needed to meet individual goals. \n
- Engaging in collaborative discussions with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, advocating for resources and support as needed. \n
- Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and remain current with industry best practices. \n
Your work will primarily involve adults, children, and adolescents, focusing on a wide range of issues encountered by families, such as:

- Alcohol abuse and dependency \n
- Psychological and physical abuse \n
- Grief and loss \n
- Family conflicts and communication difficulties \n
- Blended family challenges and adjustment issues following separation or divorce \n
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

- A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia. \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. \n
While not mandatory, the following experiences will be considered advantageous:

- Experience working with varied client populations, particularly in a community health clinic setting. \n
- Previous involvement in teletherapy or remote counseling practices. \n
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continued education and training. \n
