Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and DC, with Maryland preferred. Duties Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations. Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed. Prepare discovery responses and manage document production. Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports. Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary. Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants. Requirements 5-7 years of workers' compensation experience preferred. Licensed to practice law in Virginia and DC; Maryland preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Education Juris Doctorate or equivalent. Certifications Bar license required. Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Initiative and the ability to multitask.
