Make a meaningful difference each day as a vital support in a self-contained classroom assisting students with significant needs, including those with Autism, medical complexities, behavioral challenges, and toileting requirements. This position is a contract opportunity for the upcoming academic year, with 10 immediate openings to fill. Based near Joliet, IL, these roles serve a diverse group of students in an environment where your compassion and dedication will truly matter.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• IL Paraprofessional License
• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
• Comfortable assisting students with unique needs, including Autism and complex medical or behavioral challenges
• Ability to support all activities of daily living, including toileting and mobility needs
• Reliable, patient, and able to work collaboratively with teachers and fellow staff
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to individual students and small groups under teacher supervision
• Assist students with daily routines, learning activities, and social skills development
• Help implement behavioral plans and contribute to a structured, supportive classroom
• Aid with toileting, transitions, and ensuring student safety throughout the day
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures

This contract runs from August 24th through June 3rd, aligning with the 26/27 school year. Workdays are 7.25 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, offering you a predictable daily schedule and a meaningful way to use your skills. The hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour.
