Overview NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring on‑site presence three days per week at one of our local offices (Allentown, PA; Louisville, KY; Providence, RI). PPL has five core product domains focused on digital transformation to modernize operations. The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and marketing—evaluating opportunities, determining what gets built, setting the product vision, and working with engineering to deliver winning products. The role owns the product vision for our enterprise and ensures alignment around high‑value business outcomes. Responsibilities Own the product vision for the enterprise and align your team around high‑value outcomes. Develop and maintain discovery and delivery backlog and roadmaps; study business, users, and customers to understand needs, pain points, and constraints. Use qualitative and quantitative data to shape priorities and feature definition; mine data from multiple sources to validate problems and opportunities. Work with engineering and design during discovery to identify and validate solutions, addressing risks to value, viability, feasibility, and usability up front. Serve as Product Owner on scrum delivery teams, resolving in‑sprint issues and challenges. Directly supervise Product Analysts, coaching and developing them. Ensure product success at the enterprise level by driving user adoption and collaborating with stakeholders and other technology and product teams. Align stakeholders across the enterprise on strategies, manage conflicts, and maintain transparent prioritization and roadmap status. Define and align product team OKRs with the portfolio leader. Perform analysis on technical, operational, and market considerations for new product development and differentiation. Act as the voice of the product(s) to senior management and stakeholders. Leverage deep business domain expertise to identify opportunities to expand digital capabilities aligned with our strategy. Identify emerging market and technology needs. May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role, requiring after‑hours work during emergencies. Compliance with all policies and standards. Qualifications Required Education Bachelor's degree. Required Experience 7+ years of related work experience. 3+ years of leadership experience with cross‑functional teams. Experience leading product and/or process improvements. Excellent communication skills. Ability to balance short‑term needs with long‑term strategy. Ability to challenge the status quo. Strong business and financial acumen for strategic planning and opportunity assessment. Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence through data, insights, and storytelling. Preferred Qualifications Experience in product management. Previous experience in product design, software, or engineering. Experience working in a highly matrixed product organization. Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle. Experience in agile methodologies and working on an agile team. Experience in the energy industry.
