Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial strategy, accounting operations, financial reporting, capital management, and regulatory compliance. This senior leadership role supports executive decision-making by ensuring financial stability, maintaining effective internal controls, managing capital and liquidity, and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance. The ideal candidate has extensive banking or financial services experience, strong accounting expertise, and a proven ability to lead financial operations in a regulated environment. Job Responsibilities Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives and long-term growth. Manage capital planning, liquidity, cash flow, and balance sheet performance. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, general ledger accounts, and management reports. Monitor financial performance, identify trends, assess risks, and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Oversee regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, banking regulations, and financial requirements. Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Coordinate internal and external audits and support regulatory examinations. Evaluate capital adequacy, funding strategies, profitability, and financial risks. Partner with executive leadership and department heads on strategic planning, business performance, and resource allocation. Lead and develop accounting, finance, and financial reporting teams. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting systems, operational efficiency, and cost management. Maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support sustainable growth and organizational performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. Significant experience in banking, financial services, or capital management. Proven experience in a senior finance, accounting, or financial leadership role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience with capital planning, liquidity management, balance sheet analysis, and financial risk management. Knowledge of banking regulations, regulatory reporting, and internal control requirements. Experience managing audits and maintaining compliance with applicable financial standards. Strong leadership skills and experience managing finance or accounting teams. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to present financial information and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and boards of directors. MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. Previous experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior finance executive within a bank or financial institution preferred.
