Lathe Operator

Lathe Operator Demopolis Hickory Mill, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Wood Lathe Operator to join our team. The position involves operating a wood lathe and requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong commitment to quality work. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliable attendance are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities: Operate a wood lathe to produce wood components according to specifications. Use measuring tools, including a tape measure and micrometer, to ensure accuracy. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet requirements. Learn and follow proper operating procedures for equipment and tools. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous experience operating a wood lathe is preferred but not required. Ability to read and use a tape measure. Ability to read a micrometer or willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Dependable attendance and willingness to work a consistent schedule. Willingness to learn new skills and accept training. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM–3:30 PM Friday: 6:30 AM–11:30 AM We are willing to train the right candidate.
