Sr Java Developer With AWS
Developer needed that would be responsible for Java programming services to develop SOAP web services that will composite information to be used by client Operations. Web services will integrate with AWS environment and multiple client business systems including client enterprise web services, DB2 and SQL server databases.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Development of web services that meet the specification provided by a third-party vendor to meet its requirements
- Developing and consuming web services using SOAP, REST, and JSON protocols.
- Developing in cloud provider environments such as AWS
- Responsible for integrating multiple data sources, including DB2, SQL server, SOAP web services, and MQ topics to aggregate information into a composited data source
- Responsible for developing a repeatable deployment process using Maven and Jenkins
- Responsible for developing unit tests using JUnit
- Contribute to system design and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with technical team and business owners
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of Software Development experience
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience using Java and J2EE technologies
- Experience with five years of web service experience using SOAP and REST
- Experience using JDBC to connect to relational database include SQL Server and DB2
- Experience with designing and querying databases, including NoSQL databases
- Experience consuming MQ topics
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with source control tools, particularly Git
- Expertise with Continuous Integration/Delivery & Dependency Management (Jenkins, Maven, Git)
- Experience with using multiple software development methodologies including Agile and waterfall
- Experience working with AWS technologies
- The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and work under tight deadlines
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Git
- Scrum certified developer
