Accounts Payable Analyst

Senior Accounts Payable Analyst – SAP S/4HANA Houston, TX | Hybrid after training Contract (W2) | High likelihood of extension or permanent hire We’re partnering with a Houston-based organization that is actively seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst with SAP S/4HANA experience . This is not an invoice-entry role — it’s a senior, analytical AP position focused on resolving complex discrepancies, supporting month-end close, and partnering cross-functionally with Procurement and Supply Chain. Training will be onsite, then the role transitions to a hybrid schedule . What You’ll Be Doing Review and resolve purchase order invoice discrepancies (price, quantity, and receiving issues) Ensure accurate invoice descriptions and supporting documentation Prepare and manage monthly accruals , including Freight and T&E Perform vendor statement reconciliations and AP account reconciliations Support month-end close through AP reconciliations and journal entries Track and report AP KPIs and metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis Validate proper GL distribution, vendor setup, and PO data Analyze and clear aged GR/IR and received-not-vouchered balances Process and audit employee travel and expense reports Support ERP initiatives , including new implementations or system enhancements Provide functional leadership and guidance to AP team members Prepare and analyze GR/IR reporting Assist with internal controls, audit support, and remediation efforts Partner closely with Procurement and Supply Chain to improve AP workflow and accuracy What We’re Looking For 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable / AP Accounting experience SAP S/4HANA (required) — hands-on, operational experience Strong understanding of PO-based invoicing, 3-way match, and GR/IR Experience with accruals, reconciliations, and close processes Ability to independently resolve complex invoice and vendor issues Strong communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset Why This Opportunity Competitive pay: $30–$36/hour Long-term contract with real conversion potential High-impact role with visibility across Finance and Operations Fast-moving interview process If you’re a senior-level AP professional with SAP S/4HANA experience and availability to start quickly, apply or message me directly to discuss. #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
