A caregiver in this position works M-F, 7:00am—3:30pm. On-call requirements (M-F: 3:30pm—11:00pm). Sat, Sun, and holidays: 7:00am—11:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures. Perform routine and complex studies and assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures. Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's degree in sonography or vascular technology OR graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program (18-month program) OR two years of full-time echo experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross New hires must obtain the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR the Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from Cardiac Credentialing International within one year of hire date Demonstrated knowledge of m-mode, 2D and doppler calculations and cardiac hemodynamics Familiar with computers and can learn related programs Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; must lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to assist with transport of patients, i.e., pushing beds, stretchers and wheelchairs. Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $35.50 Maximum hourly: $54.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
