RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with varying schedules.

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with progressive and critical health issues, including monitoring, medication administration, and the implementation of care plans.

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a progressive care setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recording vital signs, and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health care needs and discharge planning.

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a progressive care unit.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
