Medical Assistant Associate (Full and Part Time Openings).

Position: Undergraduate Medical Assistant Associate (PT)

Steel City South Pediatrics is a coveted walk-in pediatric primary care clinic that provides exceptional medical care for children in the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. We strive to increase primary care accessibility and pride ourselves on providing compassionate comprehensive services to children from birth through adulthood.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking to hire a medical assistant associate who will be responsible for clinical duties at our facility.
• Broadly, responsibilities will include obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our practitioners during medical procedures.
• Top candidates will work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and can effectively react to patient emergencies.
• Medical Assistants should hold excellent communication skills to promote harmonious working relationships among professional staff, patients, and families.

Education:

• Current Bachelor Degree student or degree holder (Required minimum)
• Certification from a Medical Assistant or military medical corpsman program. (Helpful, but not required).

Experience and Requirements:

• Cover letter required for consideration. 
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, CPT coding, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations (Preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
• Passionate about healthcare excellence to help with increasing primary care accessibility.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pittsburgh, PA 15227: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
