Registered Nurse - Step down

IMCU FLOAT POOL RN - ASAP START Schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Up to 2 weekends/month Floating required to MedSurg based on patient volume Holidays required Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront (not guaranteed) Clinical Details: EPIC EMR (recent experience/proficiency required) Telemetry skills required Patient ratio 5:1 (goal 4:1) Average census: 20-24 (24-bed unit) Pediatric patients are occasional; must be comfortable caring for peds when needed Requirements: Minimum 2 years of IMCU/telemetry experience 2+ years of travel experience required Active NC or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required Additional Notes: Scrubs: Navy or white only Local rule: No candidates residing within 40 miles of facility (driver's license required for address verification prior to offer) Must include Qualivis Cover Sheet and current NURSYS report. All RTO must be submitted with profile. Both the Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) function as step-down/progressive care units, with most patients receiving telemetry monitoring. Common IV drips managed on these units include Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. Staff may manage these medications within established parameters; however, drips are not titrated upward without a provider order. If a patient's condition requires a higher level of titration or monitoring than the unit can provide, the patient may need to be transferred to the ICU. A specific Heparin protocol is in place to guide Heparin titration.
