CNC Machinist Operator (Setup Experience a Plus) 2nd shift 3:30-12pm

Job Overview


We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Machinist Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. Candidates with CNC setup experience are strongly preferred, although we are willing to train motivated individuals with solid machining knowledge and a strong work ethic.


The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Load raw materials and monitor machine operations during production runs.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor machine adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
• Identify and report machine issues, tooling problems, or quality concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Keep accurate production and inspection records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
• Assist with machine setups, fixture changes, and program adjustments when needed.
• Work closely with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machining equipment.
• Setup experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications.
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls is beneficial.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and metal materials.
