Responsibilities may include coordinating employee benefits processes and compliance for employee benefits program, compiling information for government reports, auditing various data, managing annual projects, assisting with employee benefits open enrollment, reviewing contracts, assisting with carrier implementations, assisting employees with questions in person and via phone and/or email.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating ERISA, ACA and DOL compliance for benefit plansAssisting Employee Benefits Supervisor with annual compliance reporting such as 1095-C, SAR, 5500 and W2.Assisting with employee benefit invoicesAuditing various dataAssisting with and backing up leave process as neededUnion BillingTexas Wages for Unemployment RequestsWeekly New Hire AuditHSA Employer Funding FilesAssisting with Open EnrollmentRequired Qualifications3+ years of dedicated employee benefit experiencePrevious experience with employee benefit plan compliance including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and IRS Section 125Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).Experience with HRIS and payroll systemsRequired Skills/Abilities:Must possess a high level of integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential employee, and business information at all times.Ability to work without direct supervision.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.High School Diploma, or equivalent.Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.Minimum age: 18Required Soft Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Coachable and willing to learn.CompetencyMust be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.Effective time management skills to achieve results through prioritizing demands.Demonstrates critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills.Strong Excel skills including, but not limited to, creating and formatting spreadsheets, using formulas and functions to manage large datasets (IF, SUM, INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP), and create charts/graphsWorking ConditionsThis position will require the ability to travel for multiple days, travel is estimated at 5%, or less.The employee will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time, to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.About Prairie Farms – "Farmer Owned.
