The Front Desk Attendants responsibilities are to make sure people are directed to the appropriate departments and to provide people with the answers they need about our events and programming. They deliver beyond our members expectations, contribute to member retention, and create a friendly and welcoming environment. This role's mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment for the community that fosters the well-being of all people and is rooted in Jewish values and traditions.Areas of ResponsibilityMeet, greet, and provide information to every member/guest requesting access to the facility.Check-in guests with reservations for pool/fitness/tennis facilities using the automated reservation system.Assist members/guests by providing wayfinding services and information.Maintain a cleanly workstationHave a comprehensive knowledge of day to day operations and events within the facility* Perform other duties as required or directed by Management and/or as business dictates.QualificationsQualifications and competencies :Specific Skills:Strong customer service experienceExceptional attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to follow changing directives and communicate impacts clearly and effectivelyAbility to work as part of a team in conjunction with all levels and departments of the JCC and our communityMaintain confidential information at all timesDemonstrate superior communication skills both verbally and writtenBe highly comfortable with various web applications/portals and device technologies including Smartphones, Tablets and Windows based computer applications.Maintain a can-do, friendly, supportive demeanor at all timesMaintain a commitment to service through a Jewish lens.Qualifications:1 year of demonstrated excellence in Customer Service (preferred)Understands the importance of administrative and safety proceduresDemonstrated effective communication skills – both verbally and writtenConsistent positive attitude (required)"Can-Do!" work ethicAbility to multi-task through competing prioritiesGenerally, Monday through Friday during business hours - will require occasional evenings and/or weekend work.Able to lift up to 35 pounds, when necessaryWorking Conditions/Physical requirements:The working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
