Medical Lab Technologist

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our growing clinical laboratory team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a part-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering flexible scheduling and hands-on laboratory experience in a collaborative healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical laboratory experience and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism. Training will be provided on site-specific procedures and workflows.

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Part-Time (30–35 hours per week)

Hours: Flexible scheduling available; ideal shift is 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens.

• Prepare, process, and evaluate biological samples according to established laboratory procedures.

• Accurately document and report laboratory findings.

• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.

• Verify specimen integrity and ensure proper handling throughout the testing process.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with laboratory policies.

• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.

• Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply maintenance.

• Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency with laboratory procedures, equipment, and documentation.

Preferred

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Experience in a clinical, hospital, reference, or diagnostic laboratory setting.
