Maintenance Tech II (3rd Shift)

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for maintaining electrical distribution for all internal and external equipment. Performs equipment installs, demolitions and moves as needed. Troubleshoot and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Must have working knowledge of PLCs and industrial electrical standards. Ability to weld and fabricate simple fixtures and jigs. Perform other related tasks as directed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair various machines and equipmentInstall electrical systems and equipment in accordance with city codes and industrial standardsRun secondary power distribution lines and circuits used to supply a wide range of voltage, amperage and phase requirements to distribution panels, power and control circuits, HVAC, robots and other equipment.Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair as required.Use preventative maintenance programs on work centers and equipment using maintenance software.Train production operators to perform basic periodic maintenance where applicable.Identify areas of improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.Uses "stop the line authority" at any sign of safety or quality concerns.Qualifications / Training / Skill RequirementsAbility to function in a team environment as a team playerAbility to prioritize tasks based on safety and qualityExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsMust be able to read blueprintsMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust recognize the importance of working in a safe mannerAbility to understand what constitutes quality productsPossess basic math skillsAverage or above average skills in numeric and visual recallMust be computer literateEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDAssociates degree, journeyman electrician license or technical school degree requiredPLC certification desiredExperience RequirementsFive (5) plus years of mechanical, electrical, and PLC experienceExperience with metal burning and forming equipmentExperience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating, and assemblyKnowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and NECPhysical DemandsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to work in sometimes extreme temperaturesHendrickson/Reyco Granning is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
