Seeking a BC/BE Breast Imager to join our health center north of Syracuse, NY. Join a high-quality, hospital-based breast imaging service with full on-site coverage and a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Clinical Highlights Comprehensive Breast Imaging:
On-site interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI with same-day results and immediate biopsies when indicated.
Advanced Technology:

3 Fuji Cristalle mammography rooms (including upright stereotactic)
Hologic Affirm prone stereotactic table
4 Philips Epic ultrasound units
Philips 3.0T MRI

Robust Volumes:
2024: 7,287 screening mammograms, 1,191 diagnostic mammograms, 976 breast ultrasounds
2025 YTD: 4,690 screening, 828 diagnostic, 709 ultrasounds, 14 stereotactic biopsies

Dedicated Staffing:
6 mammography technologists, 4 ultrasound technologists, and 3 MRI technologists with full-time on-site radiologist coverage (40 hours/week).

Multidisciplinary & Academic Environment Surgical Oncology Collaboration:
Partner closely with a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist specializing in oncoplastic breast surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomies, and nerve reinnervation techniques.
Cancer Care Integration:
Affiliation with Roswell Park Care Network through the Walker Center for Cancer Care, including twice-monthly tumor boards.
Teaching Opportunities:
Participate in education within accredited Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residency programs.

Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $575,000
Sign-On Bonus: $75,000
Educational Loan Repayment: $20,000 annually

Team of 190 physicians across 45 specialties
Full-time hospital-employed role joining two experienced BC Pathologists 24/7 full-service laboratory performing 1,000+ tests daily
Accredited by NYSDOH, Joint Commission, and AABB
Additional Laboratory Capabilities
The department performs its own immunohistochemical (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) staining in-house using the Leica BOND-MAX III automated stainer, enabling high-throughput, reproducible results and rapid diagnostic turnaround.
Digitally printed blocks and slides minimize labeling errors and ensure full traceability throughout the specimen workflow.
Equipped with state-of-the-art Siemens Atellica chemistry analyzers and a modern LIS, supporting a robust test menu and efficient workflow.
