MRI Technologist
Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures while providing safe, high-quality care to patients across a variety of settings and age groups.
- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for patients of all ages and clinical needs.
- Select appropriate imaging protocols and technical factors based on patient needs.
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care, including positioning and contrast administration according to policy.
- Apply knowledge of MRI anatomy, physics, safety, and imaging practices while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Accurately document patient care and imaging procedures in electronic health record systems.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized imaging environment, including supplies and equipment.
- Perform required equipment quality control and report equipment or environmental concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement, workflow, patient experience, and staff/student education initiatives.
Education & Experience - Required:
- Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology, or MRI, from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- 1+ years
- ARMRIT and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification – within 1 year of hire date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Education & Experience - Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in health science or related field
- Experience in MRI or other Imaging Modalities
- ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI)
