Senior Healthcare Planner - Advisory Services

A Healthcare Planner is a leader who has exceptional planning and facilitation skills to work directly with clients. A manager of company and project resources to successfully complete projects. A strategic business thinker who can create, apply, and implement methodologies, standardization and processes across practice areas. Someone who creates client connections to generate project leads and develop business opportunities. Key Responsibilities Anticipate client needs and proactively solve before client knows what is needed. Actively participate in decision making with clients and client executives. Polished proposal writing, scoping, pricing, and project execution skills. Capable of managing the staffing of client managers. Identify and lead process improvement to streamline internal project delivery and champion internal change management and team coaching. Visionary thinker with the ability to lead clients and team to bring to consensus. Lead project QA, QC and project risk. Work closely with service area and practice area leaders supporting aspects of service line development, planning, and billing. Willing to take the lead with needed in any aspect of project delivery (not expertise). Actively participate in thought leadership: blogs, podcasts, conferences, white papers, etc. Build collaborative and productive relationships with junior advisors and clients. Contribute and support new product/service lines and development. Champion use of tools and analytics. Lead and coordinate project pursuits and heavily engaged in business development. Subject matter and project delivery expertise to develop and lead client and internal workshops. Ability to perform in a variety of roles through the full project life cycle with both specialist and functional knowledge. A leader and mentor to team members and respective practice area members. Contribute to product development and can lead a service/product line. Assist in aligning the team culturally and with MPS mission, vision, and values. Focus: Acute Care and Ambulatory facilities Experience & Sets Experience in developing and implementing planning studies. Understanding of operational planning, facilities management, facility construction, managing lease agreements and policies. Research, investigate and document healthcare facility existing conditions and adequacy in accordance with applicable codes, FGI, and best practices. Support strategy related planning solutions, including forecasting need driving facility demand. Analyze and develop plans to assist with the development and evaluation of site criteria regarding client and clinical needs. Manage space and functional program documentation. Provide Revit, AutoCAD and graphic support for healthcare facility and strategic planning activities. Analyze existing facilities via the assessment of square footage and key room quantity information against owner and industry benchmarks and standards. Develop space planning concepts, test fits, evaluations. Participate in and/or lead facility walkthroughs (GEMBA walks). Facilitate user/focus group session in planning, programming, schematic design and design development meetings. Apply healthcare delivery models and develop operational alternatives with supporting space requirements. Support development of complete healthcare planning documentation, facility master planning, and functional planning. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related field. Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience on planning healthcare projects (acute care, ambulatory, essential services, etc.). Ideally accredited thought leader American College of Healthcare Architects. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Revit, Bluebeam, SketchUp, AutoCAD and other related tools to work in a multi-discipline team. Strong technical and critical thinking skills that apply in development of planning projects and transfer into documentation, applying thorough understanding of codes, standards, and compliance requirements. Ideally has additional certification or accreditations for LEAN, EDAC, WELL AP, LEED AP, etc. Proficiency in computational design preferred. Proficiency in Power BI and Adobe Suite preferred.
