Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shifts as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups, including patients presenting with cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health conditions
• Support a STEMI and Stroke-designated facility , contributing to time-sensitive cardiac and neurological emergency protocols
• Collaborate within a department that interfaces with specialty services including a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
• Float to other system campuses as needed
• Complete a compliance EKG exam (up to 2 attempts allowed) as part of onboarding requirements
• Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for diverse and complex patient populations including oncology, sepsis, and behavioral health
• Familiarity with cath lab or women's health support workflows
• Experience in a high-acuity, multi-specialty emergency department environment
