Power BI Functional Analyst

Function We’re currently looking for two experienced Power BI Functional Data Analysts / Data Model & Dataset Developers to support our client in a major data-driven transformation initiative. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business analysis, data modeling, and BI development, helping translate complex business needs into scalable and high-performing Power BI solutions within a modern cloud data ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, business stakeholders, and BI teams to design, optimize, and govern enterprise datasets aligned with data warehouse architectures powered by Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies. Responsibilities Analyze business processes and understand data flows and dependencies across systems Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable BI solutions Design, develop, and optimize Power BI datasets and tabular data models sourced from enterprise data warehouses Collaborate with Data Engineers to align Power BI models with star and snowflake schemas Implement and maintain governance, security, monitoring, publication, and performance standards for datasets Contribute actively to testing, validation, and quality assurance activities Ensure compliance with internal standards, governance frameworks, and best practices Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for developed solutions Support knowledge sharing and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders The Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Power BI dataset implementation and data modeling in enterprise environments Minimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis and data analysis roles Strong expertise with: Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service Tabular modeling and cloud dataset optimization Advanced DAX, Power Query, and SQL Data warehouse methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Star Schema, Snowflake) Row‑Level Security (RLS) and Power BI governance on Azure Power BI integration with Microsoft Fabric and Azure CI/CD practices for Power BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Familiarity with Sparx Enterprise Architect and SAP BI universes is considered a plus Strong analytical mindset with a focus on optimization and performance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Team-oriented with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way Additional Information Long‑term consultancy opportunity within a strategic enterprise data environment Collaborative and innovation-driven team setup Hybrid working environment Bilingual profile required: French or Dutch with a solid passive understanding of the other language Opportunity to work with modern Microsoft data technologies and large‑scale BI ecosystems Contactperson & Reference Reference #: INW26193 Pieter Messely View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
